Materials :2 small black bead eyes. 21cmx29cm main colour velour, 10cmx4cm for paw pads, 5 x 10mm joints.
Instructions: Cut out paper pattern and draw around each piece on the back of the velour. Cut out the paw and footpads as well. Pin each section together. With the body sew the tummy inset piece to the part marked T on one side of the body down to the place marked B. Sew the other side onto the other body section making sure to leave open all the places marked, sew the two body sections together. Cut small +'s on the dots for the the joints to be fitted. Run a gathering thread around the neck of the body and turn the body section right side out. Sew a contrast ear piece to the main colour ear piece around the curved section. Turn right side out and slipstitch the straight edge together. When both ears are sewn fit half of the ear into the head slit and bend the other half to fit along the top of the head to the notch. When both ears have been fitted to the side head sections, sew the two side heads together from C to B. Fit the centre head section in at point C sew down each side of the side head section to point A. Turn head right side out and stuff firmly. Run a gathering thread around the neck and place the head joint in.(This will be one split pin and one washer). Pull up tightly and oversew around the neck joint for added security. Sew two little black bead eyes in and embroider a small nose. Attach to the body using the washer for the split pin and turn each pin back into a neat curl. Leave to one side. Arms (both the same) - take a small inner arm section and sew the paw pad on. Match with the outer arm and sew together making sure to leave open all the sections marked. Cut a small + on the dot and turn right side out. Stuff firmly up to where the joint is to be placed. Place the joint in and continue stuffing. Ladderstitch up the opening. When both arms are complete - attach to the body the same way you attached the head. The legs (both the same) have one inner and one outer leg to be sewn together. When this is done (and don't forget to leave open the places marked) sew the footpad in. Cut a small + on the dot and turn right side out. Stuff firmly up to where the joint is to be placed. Place the joint in and continue stuffing. Ladderstitch up the opening. When legs are complete attach to the body the same way. Fill the body cavity with "gravel" or beads and stitch up the back opening.
